70 1/2 Baldwin Motion Camaro

My first re-attempt on some older American Muscle.

Well this kit was quite a wake up call for me on just how much work the kits with old tooling actually take to complete. A lot of filling, filing, sanding, polishing, etc.

A couple firsts for me on this one were attempting to wire the engine and use BMF.  I painted the stripe decals - the lines are not nearly as crisp as i would like and I also opted not to try for the small pinstripes that outline the stripe, but this green is really something.  I used an airbrush (another first) on the body using MM British Green Met and Classic white.  I am thrilled that the BMF is really quite easy to work with, just takes patience and a very sharp blade.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice. Might I suggest putting your models on white posterboared for photography?

I have been thinking about this one for awhile now. Seeing how well you did with it is really making me considering buying this one next.

Great work on the paint.

Really cool, very nice job. After some restorations, I plan to build this one in the same (my favorite) color. Which paint is it?

Nice looking Camaro. Masking the stripe must have been a bugger trying to get the curve on the deck lid symetrical. The colours look good too.

Thanks for looking!  Yes, Bainford it was not easy to maintain a nice sharp and symetrical arc on the lid and it would show in top view picutures of the lid.  My method was to trace the original decal onto trace paper then transfer to frisket which was used as the mask.  In hindsight i would maybe get the mask from several pieces of frisket rather than one large one to make sure the lines were sharper.  Not sure that would help wiht symmetry though.

I was curious to work on this matter with greater things and I wanted to learn them from professional resume editing. If people allow me to work there, it will be something that I was hoping for long time.
