MPC 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T

Hi folks!

Now that my '64 Grand Prix build is in the record books, it's time to move on to another rare old Mopar kit.

This nearly pristine MPC Coronet kit will be another full detail project utilizing the innards from the Revell '68 Charger, among others.

It will be a Hemi car, and the immediate plan is a white car with red bumble bee stripes and dark red interior, but plans can change.

I have time to ruminate on the color.

Hope you will all join me for the journey! Smile

Getting a start on engineering the mating of the Revell Charger chassis to the Coronet body.

As I'm sure you all know, this is the most important and finicky step when retrofitting parts like this.

Screw something up now, and nothing will fit later. Stick out tongue

While I'm at it, the big clunky grille backing plates have to go as well.

They will not only look bad under the hood, but they will be in the way for the head light buckets to be added later.

I wish that I would have performed this task when I built my '69.

After seeing your previous build, I will be looking this one very close to find out how will it turn. I think there will be a lot of us watching...
