That came out good AMT. Are you going to try the new Revell release of the 68 Chevelle?

Being really stupid is the new smart!!

Thanks mustang. I purchased the '68 Revell kit a few months ago but haven't gotten to build it just yet. It appears to be a top notch kit that I'm looking forward to build. I have another one of these AMT '69 kits on the bench. The newer Round 2 releases have a few improvements over the older kits.

Wow, great job. Nice job on the taillights as well. this kit has always required some TLC to get those to look decent.

Thank you. All I really did on the tail lights was paint them dark red. The newer kits at least have the dividing bar between the light sections whereas these older kits do not. Even on the newer kits the drivers side light isn't molded correct and it is difficult to position straight. I'm fine with the rest of the kit however.

Those tail lights is the only reason I haven't bought myself one of these kits.
You did a really nice job on this build.
Speedway Decals has decals now, that can make those lights look more correct. I've used their decals on a 68 Roadrunner, and had great results so I might just give this Chevelle a go.

Thank you. I have seen other builds with the decals you reference. The decals look nice but I just prefer the chrome bars separating the light sections. And unlike this 1987 version the newest release of this kit has somewhat more accurate lights with the light sections divided. I appreciate the heads up on Speedway Decals.
