This my 1965 Chevy Stepside with a lowered chassis. I used Testor's Mystic Emerald lacquer and Jada wheels.
While I am not often critical, I feel that the JADA wheels look like they came off of a 1/18th scale model and make an otherwise GREAT looking pickup build look toylike and unrealistic. Nothing wrong with big wheels but DONKers squeezed under a lowered truck just don't look right to me... Just an opinion... not meant to offend - all a matter of taste....
no problem RICK, it's your opinion and actually the Jada wheels are not 1/18th scale. They actually are 1/25 scale and they came off a medal ford pickup. I used them on them on chevy stepside because I thought they looked better on it rather that on the ford. To me and some others feel that they actually give the truck a little more WOW factor. But I appreciate your opinion.
nice truck. love the big wheels, thats what lowriding is about bigger the better and nice color. I always wanted to build this truck it might be my next project after seeing this.Again nice work
beautiful little truck - color is awesome.
VERY SWEET 65 CHEVY SOUTH CU, ARE THOSE 30' WHEELS........
I think they are HotRodLou, they came off a metal 1/25 scale ford truck. To me they looked better on this stepside.
