I'm new
Posted by vinnietbird on Friday, December 05, 2003 4:18 PM
Hey,how is everyone?I've been building now for about 30 years(Istarted when I was six).I had a 5 year break from 1986 to 1991 while I was in the military. At one time,I wouldn't build a car unless it had a blower,or a supercharger, and FAT tires. Now,I prefer factory stock cars mostly. To me,they are harder to build because you have guidelines to follow to make it correct.I love the Mopars......HEMI !!!!!!!!!!!! Right now,I'm looking for a 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo-Coupe to build a replica of my own T-Bird.If anyone has one,let me know. It' was made by Monogram.I always have models to trade if anyone is into that (or sell, whatever).I have about 100 out in the garage that I have yet to build. My problem is,I keep buying them, and I can only finish about 3 per year.Right now I'm building a Pro-Modeler 1969 Dodge Charger, and a 1968 Baldwin Motion Corvette the right way(like the real car).Tons of body work there.I like to do the "full detail" route with my cars.I started opening the doors and trunk a couple of years ago.I have learned a lot over the years, and I find that every time I talk to someone new, there is still much more to learn.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the welcome.I look forward to talking with everyone and learning a lot.As far as pictures go,I'll have to wait and get my wife or daughter to help me,I don't know how to post pictures.I'll learn. If you go to ........themcma.com and look at their pictures,my 1968 Corvette is there. It was my first car to have the doors opened and all of that hinge stuff.I'm here to help, and I'm here to learn.Everybody keep in touch. My e-mail is vinnietbird@sbcglobal.net and I'll try to be here at least once a day to keep up with everything.See ya.
