Hi All,

I am new here, and i am hoping to learn some new things about scale auto modelling.

I'm from Switzerland, 26 years old and I build and collect AMT/MPC models.

Regards

Phil

Thank you, unfortunately none of the projects have the quality i am seeing here in the gallery.

However that was one of the reasons i came here,  to improve some of the techniques and hopefully make them look betterYes

I still have those kits to build: MPC 67 pontiac GTO / AMT 53 Ford Pickup and a couple of NASCAR Thunderbirds

Hello and welcome to the modeling forum.

While stationed in West Germany (80's) and visited Switzerland (Bern) a few times; beautiful country.

So do you build your kits in factory stock or modified / hotrod form?

Do you add any extra details to your builds?

Hi Ben

Yeah, Bern is a nice city, it's about 3 hours from where I live.

Since the kits usually offer 3 building versions and I like to build them modified, not too wild but somewhere between stock and the custom version.

And I build them out of the box, is that something people do here, or you all add extra details?

(like engine wiring, photo-etched parts etc.)

There is a wide variety of building styles displayed here. Some build box stock, some do full, super detailing, and most do something in between. There is a wide range of skills, knowledge, and experience, and all are welcome. It is a great forum in that way.

Hey I am new here as well and I am into MPC and AMT too.

Di you have any rare or vintage kits in your stash?

I would be interested in seeing them

No I don't own any rare or vintage kits, they are hard to get here and I started with the hobby around 2013.

Most of my kits are round2 re-issues, I just have a few Thunderbird Nascars from the 90s and the AMT Superbird from 1991. Nothing from the 60s/70s/80s.

Glad  you're back Tbird.  Ive been to Europe twice. Beautiful countries in Europe.  I imagine its hard to get American kits in Europe, except for Revell of Germany. They own Revell of America now, so hopefully your options will be increasing.
