Welcome to the forum, and welcome back to the hobby. Sounds like fun opening up all those old boxes. Cheers.

Greetings from Germany.  Got back into scale models again after about a 40 year hiatus.  Before switching to model railroading in 1983 I packed up all the glue bombs, parts and testors paint bottles that I had for safe keeping.  About eight months ago I unpacked the 8 or 9 moving boxes and my son, age 12, couldn't believe what he was seeing.  Lindberg sportsmann class racers, IH Transtar II Eagles (3 of them) and about 60 other built kits out of the 60's, 70's and early 80's.  What a party that was!  I originally planned to glue the wheels back on a few of them and put 'em on a shelf.  That didn't work. I now have a full blown model shop with airbrush and all the fixins'.  Been lurking around here for several months now and today it's official.  I've seen some top notch work here and have gained alot of tips for taking my models up a notch.  No more glue bombs! I'm preparing my first about 50 engines laying here and I#ll need help with identifying those.  More about that later in another post.  Glad to be back!
