Well the 1:1 sure looks enticing!  Good luck recreating it.

Rockgarden and Bainford, thanks for taking the time to offer some encouragement...I've started to not only collect the basics I'll need to pull off the build, but also some dimensional drawings for stuff that's just not out there in 1/25...gonna try to post a link to a shot of my subject matter for y'all...hope this works...

Welcome to the forum. Yes, things have indeed changed over the years. Forums like this one have been responsible for a drastic improvement in my building. The range of techniques and inspiration are seemingly unending. Sounds like a cool project you have on the go. Enjoy the forum.

Evenin' everybody...been lurking here for a little over a month or so, reading about how this hobby has changed since I last built a model (alittle over 30 yrs!)...what a difference in the detailing supplies that are available! (I haven't built a model since thread, stretched sprue, fishing line, and telephone cable wires/strands were the extent of detailing supplies)...I can't wait to finish collecting the needed supplies to begin my planned project, a 1/25 rendering of the 72 Nova street car that I "crew chief" on, affectionately known as "the Turd"...it's currently at the chassis shop, getting the necessary safety upgrades for the mid to low 8-second 1/4 mile passes we're aiming for this season...my buddy has no idea that I'm doing this...
