I've been building model kits since my 7/8th grade back in 80s. :)

Although my main subject was/is Gunpla I do dabble into other areas from time to time including the auto kits. Seeing that I was given the Owner's Club Toyota Sports 800 kit it's only fitting to join here to learn and if possible steal(?) tips from others. :)

I just joined tonight. I used to build kits when I was a little kid, my dad would help me if I needed any, but as the years passed it was a hobby that went by the wayside. Until recently. I had knee surgery, was lying around bored to death, when I decided to buy a Revell 69 Yenko Vette on Amazon, and 16 models later you could say I’m hooked, and I’ve still got 7 to build. Doing a 77 Chevy Monza 2+2 at the moment. I was surprised by how much had changed in the 49 years since I’d built my last model as a kid. The paints, brushes, equipment, and so much more has changed big time. The kits are pretty much the same but that’s about it. If anyone wants to hear a very funny story about a Fujimi Camaro model kit from a couple of months back, let me know. I just want to say hello to everyone, and I’m going to need tips, advice, tricks, etc. Sure hope you all can help out when I have a lame question. Have great evening all! TTYL

All the best, Vetteman
