A Giant Has Fallen
Posted by partsguyx on Thursday, March 07, 2019 7:17 PM

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my friend, Dave

Griebling (known to all on this forum as "Fury3") Dave was suffering from

declining health these past few years and the accumulative issues finally

took their toll. ""

(unsure if direct URLs are allowed here - just remove the quotation marks)

I had known Dave personally since 1982 when we worked at a dealership,

and during all those years his knowledge of classic cars

(especially Chrysler) never ceased to amaze me. He was virtually

a "Mopar Encyclopedia" and at one time his personal collection of

literature was only exceeded by Chryslers!

(Mark Worman had NOTHING on Dave!!)

The world has lost a great classic car lover, he will be missed!

I'm saddened to read this news.  I used to chat with Dave a lot around 2003 to 2005.  I loved talking old Mopars with him.  62 is much to young.  May God bless Dave and his entire family.

Sorry to hear about Dave's passing. I used to enjoy the knowledge of Mopar details that he shared here when I first joined the forum. Many of us here are "seniors" and it seems that more than our fair share of us are dealing with health issues that we never imagined in our youth. Fortunately we have our hobby and those who support and participate in it to keep us feeling young. Sincerest sympathies to Dave's family and to those who knew him. We've been missing his presence here for years.

Very sorry to hear this, I was fortunate enough to have talked with him a couple of times and he was always very helpful and generous with his knowledge.

Sorry to hear the sad news, as I didn't really know Dave, I do remember liking the posts from Fury 3. Yes he had great knowledge of Mopars as I too am a Mopar fan and have been for years. May he R.I.P.

I'm sorry to hear this too. Any time any of us had a mopar question, we all knew we could count on him for the answer. May he rip. We will all miss him here.

I have known Dave aka fury3 for many years and we have lost touch over the last couple of years.  He will be missed as a friend and as a fellow model builder.

He called me last year and we had talked for a couple of minutes.  I am sadden by the loss of a really good modeler and a friend.

I am very sorry to hear this news. Dave was the guiding light to all things Mopar on the forum, always sharing tidbits of obscure knowledge that meant so much to the detail oriented builders. Dave was a great guy, and always willing to help. He was frequently called upon directly when Mopar info was needed, and he never failed to provide. Beyond his informative and supportive posts, I didn't know Dave, but after years of being a fellow forum member you get a pretty good idea of the sort of guy he was. Dave was a good one. The forum is noticably emptier without his being a part of it.

RIP Dave. You will certainly be missed.

That is a shame. He really did have a knowledge and I enjoyed reading his responses to Mopar questions.
