Dodge L700 leveling front end
Posted by Ron37044 on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 10:19 PM

Hey all, new to the site but had done some model building in the past and recently picked it back up to take up the free time now that I’m retired. I picked up the Lindberg Dodge L700 a few years ago and have decided to build it but before I get started several years ago I thought I had seen an article that explained how to level the truck to eliminate the rake look of the rear end being higher then the front end. If anyone has any ideas or I got feel free to post and let me know. Thanks all.

Ron, I removed the locator pins from the rear springs and placed the springs higher on the rear frame. this leveled out the truck quite a bit. Hope this helps.

Thank you sir I may go this route to level it, I thought I had seen a spacer used on the front springs many years ago but I could be wrong.

Howdy !

I built that kit a few years ago and only had one problem with it.

When you get to installing the door's , pay close attention to the door hinge's.

I believe the instruction's would have you install them "UPSIDE DOWN". So test fit first !

Welcome !

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Soon to be on the bench...

Thanks, this kit has been a challenge so the hinges get reversed. Thanks again.
