New Guy, Not so New Guy

Greeting to everyone. I think I may have been bitten by the model car bug.  Been building aircraft kits since I was a kid; however, I am a bit jelous of all the wonderful colors you car guys get to work with. I don't know how it happened, but I stumbled across Dr. Cranky's youtube channel a few months ago and starting watching some of his videos and I think that is what did it. Next thing I know I was walking ouf of my LHS with an AMT 67 Impala... Long story short, I am working on my first Car kit and It may not be my last... so I signed up with this forum.  Here is a picture of my progress. The challenging part for me is that I don't know crap about cars--I have a hard time changing my own windshielld wipers if you know what I mean...

Yeah, happens all the time. I wouldn't worry about it. Since you're painting the car a non-factory color, no reason the engine needs to be factory color. I think the two colors you have will look great together. Welcome to this "colorful" wheeled forum. Looks like you're off and running.

Welcome to the forum. It's a nice place to learn the ropes. The Impala is a nice kit to start out with. If you have any questions or concerns, just ask and someone will have an answer for you. Enjoy.

Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
