Hello... Looking for a Metal Open Wheel Racer Model from 1960's...

Hello Scale Auto Members,

I'm looking for information on an all metal model of an Indy Racer which was sold in ~1963.  This model is similar to (but not) the Hubley Indianapolis 500 Racer.  My parents bought the model at that time and gave it to my cousin.  We're interested in finding this model or its history.

The model is white metal, ~9 inches long, full metal hood (engine isn't exposed), cigar shaped like the Offenhauser Indy cars of the 1950's and early 60's, rubber tires and steerable.  The model was purchased in Hutchinson, KS from a hobby shop where the owner indicated it was a promotional, limited quantity model.

Any information appreciated or ideas on how to locate it greatly appreciated.  Many thank,  Rich

Sounds interesting Rich, and I hope that you find what you're lookin' for even if it is a "long shot."
