Hello from S. Texas - found a box of models
Posted by Mi3ninos on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 9:40 AM

I go by the nic Pops, live in S. Texas.

A house I got years ago had a large box of static plastic models and a Strombecker 9950 race set.  The slot car set was heavily used and full of incomplete cars and parts, even the track is missing pickup strips.

With all this are about 12 plastic model car kits.  Many were used to make slot cars.

It appears the most valuable of the kits were left un tampered.

Being that I am not a modeler I researched to find some of these are fairly sought after.

Palmer Plastics (i know the joke) 1963 XKE Jag Convertible.  Most parts are on the trees and the only missing pieces I see are the clear windshield and decal sheet. Box is good.

The real find IMHO are 3 60s Aurora kits.  They appear complete & to my eye in exceptional condition.

Monroe Special 1920 Indianapolis 500 Mile Winner  Kit 529 79

Murphy Special 1922 Indianapolis 500 Mile Winner Kit 522 79

Maserati Special 1940 Indianapolis 500 Mile Winner Kit 525 79  (tires on the wheels)

Cant seem to figure out how to post a picture.

Other than eBay is there a place to auction these models?
