THINK RESTORATION
Posted by ambman on Monday, May 22, 2017 6:47 PM

There are times while doing this hobby ,that it can be come tedious and non rewarding. But you should look at it as a restoration project .While at the work station or desk or bed or tv top or garbadge can or washing machine, while doing what we like best take into consideration model building can be rewarding .Watching auto restoration programs can give you incentive.Put your self in your own shop, on a much smaller scale. The same can apply to plane building .tank or other military kits .with the price of kits today, dont become godzilla or rodan or king kong and make crumbs out of these kits while  doing the momba on them .HAPPY MODELLING

YOu know, it's funny... I was tolking to the owner of the Model Car Garage a few weeks ago, and I commented that I have about 150 kits witing to be built. His response was "
I have over 200... And what I do, as I suspect you do as well, is to take them out from time to time, envision what you really want to do with it, and then put it away for another day". Oh so true. So I'm doing what i envisioned.... I have 15 projects working at once. Thank god I'm a bachelor, as no wife would put up with all those parts, and 200 bottles of paint on the counter.  LOL

Build people, build! And enjoy!

It's not a contest Mr Moparlover!    LOL

Must be some great kit-bashing opportunities there!

I know that just b4 I had a stroke n lost my job as a mechanical engineer and factory service rep I was a buying fool haven't seen. This stuff in like 12 13 yrs let alone build then on top of all that diagnosed with Parkinson's ptsd and a failed spinal surgery so I'm proud I collected so many all bought with the intention of building I sold most everything else off diecast but hung on to my hoard for a rainy day my health says it's my rainy day and I was laughing cause I remember when I had 30 or 40 kits and thought that's a lot and the fact I've been with my wife 8 yrs total and 5e now and finally got me a room again. And all the kits and tools I dreamt of as a kid that's the best part now trying to figure who to leave it to when I pass til then ima building fool
