First Time Here - My history of model car building
Posted by jeffmorris1956 on Monday, May 15, 2017 8:12 PM

I started building model cars since I was a boy in 1970s. I had the Renwal Visible V8 engine and Renwal Visible Auto Chassis in 1970s shown at https://macsmotorcitygarage.com/revisiting-the-visible-v8/ . The Revell Visible V8 is still available without motor and lights.  I have Testors Visible Hemi V8 engine and an Haynes Visible 4-cylinder engine. About two years ago, I bought a 3D printer and printed automotive stuff that I found on websites that have 3D models created by other people. A few people created working engines and transmissions using 3D printers and some metal parts. I tried to create my own working 4-cylinder engine but I couldn't do it. I bought an AMT 1955 Chevy Nomad and started building it. I was going to use the car to help me create my own working model car but I couldn't do it. I looked through auto shop manuals and searched the Internet but I just don't know how to create my own working model car.
