Hello from New York

Great to be here and looking forward to chatting with fellow members. I'm a artist who enjoys working with a variety of different materials from plastics to metals and wood. I have a background in the car business and was employed for 21 years at dealerships in the service end of things. Current project is a scratch built replica of a 1998 Mercedes CLK GTR that won the 98' FIA GT season. The model's scale is 1/12, the tube chassis is balsa and the roll hoop is black pvc. The wheels are temporary place holders for now as I try to get the dimenions right.  I built models as a kid and I'm finding this very enjoyable. Hoping to post a few pictures here sucessfully along with a pic of the 1/18 Maisto inspiration car. Thanks for looking, Vinny
