Buckeye greetings!
Posted by 195X on Wednesday, February 01, 2017 10:49 AM

I should have seen this days ago when I signed up. Adam Wayne here, originally from Alliance Ohio, now in Marrietta by the river. I am 52 yrs. young and recently started collecting some models again after a long absence from the hobby. I pretty much build whatever strikes my fancy but mostly I'm into show rods and wild customs. No matter what it is though, if I look at it and can instantly see the paint job I'd do, I buy it. Might never get built! But I buy it anyway. I think we all do that on occaision.

I'm not really the type to take a lot of pictures, I know that helps other builders but for me it slows down the build.

I had been watching these pages, mostly through google searches and finally pulled the trigger to join. I know that the only stupid questions are the ones that go unasked, but there are a lot of annoying and repetitive questions I will try to avoid.

I am a Gemini, so I can go flocking, or I can go embossing powders. I'll use acrylic and lacquer on the same paint job, strip paint with whatever will and have a hard time deciding what color to paint particular projects.

I have glued my fingers together before.. I suspect I shall again. I have cut myself on sprues! And I have exploded paint cans out of sheer stupidity.

I have lost model parts without ever moving. And I once came home to find my girlfriend gone and my Millenium Falcon super glued to the cieling. Sadly I no longer have a photo of that.

So if you're looking for a rediculous ramble or a "What the..?" moment. Check out some of my posts.. they'll only get weirder once I'm comfortable here. Within certain sensible preset parameters of course. Geeked

My favorite color is clear.

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

Got a smile on my face after that intro. Welcome to the site.
