Hello from Cincinnati

Howdy, my name is Joe Barker and I've just gotten back into modeling after a 15 year break. (And since I wasn't very good to begin with, I'm more or less starting from scratch!) I like building stock muscle cars - my favorites are the late 60s - early 70s Chargers.

My new project is the General Lee - I've been poking around for good decals, but haven't been able to find any. Any suggestions as to where I might find them? For future reference, where's the best place to post that question?

I've been lurking in the discussion forum for the past couple months, and figured I should finally introduce myself. I've already gotten a lot of great tips already. Thanks!

Another Buckeye, sweet!

I'm here in Fairfield and would like to welcome you to the fold...

As far as the decals go...What i did was buy a General Lee kit just to steal the decals for my General. I absolutely hate the Gen Lee kit as it is produced.
One of the major attractions i have to the old Chargers is the fact that they have rear window fins which are not present in the Gen Lee kit.
The mold for that kit is based on the Charger 500 and falls way short of being a respectible General Lee.
I did however make use of the kit by making a diorama of a Charger sitting in a field wrecked and rusted.

Hope this helps a little.

Sign - Welcome greetings mr ardvaark! theres another member around here that goes by the handle "hazardcountykid" i think, you need to look him up. he has a dukes show with some of the stars every year. you will have fun here!

I went to a "gentleman's club" because the sign said they had all the hottest models. I thought it was a hobby shop. Man, was I ever disappointed.
