Wire Wheels

Hello Everyone:

How many of you liked the article concerning the Cover Auto in the Mag? In the article it was said that in Picking nit, He wasn't satisfied with the Wire Wheels. There is a method to solve that problem. It has been covered many times, but one more time folks.

The kit is big enough(1/12) that the solution is right there. You might have to soften the tires in Hot water to get them on. But, this method works. Remove one plastic spoke at a time from the Assembled wheel. Drill and replace with wire of the right kind( Size-wise) These are painted so it can be Brass or Stainless wire or even Electric Guitar string.

By doing this you wind up with centered hubs and real wires. Gene and I have done this on numerous vehicles. Because of a shortage of good looking wires on 1/25 scale vehicles I now spend the time to make then myself. Using two different wheels in the same scale as Examples!

It can beautify the car and really shows off that Pizazz of Brembo discs behind the wheels! You want someting seriously comment getting? Put a set like that on any of the following cars and folks will take notice. Gremlin, Pinto, Maverick, Etc. Plus it will lighten the mood.
