Only in '69.

They were gone in '70.

Moved to the lower front quarter much greater numbers! Smile

I don't know if they would be classified as "gills", bit my 1:1 '69 Pontiac Grand Prix has them on the C-pillar.

Can't forget the gills on Corvettes of different years.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

My memory may be "Foggy" on this, but didn't the 1976 Nova have them on the B pillar's ?   And I believe they were Chrome.

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Soon to be on the bench...

The feature , Gills .You know I caused a fuss insisting my 68Stang had Gills . Now there were some Camaros that had a Gill like trim feature on the lower Quarter ahead of the rear wheels . What year was that ?

I think I can safely say the only Gills I will worry about is the ones on my Tropical Fishes and not cars .At least 90% do have them where you can see them .

Also how many of you can remember the cars that one time that had this feature either in the front sides , rear quarters or even the B pillar ?

Seems to me some that you would've expected to have them didn't . ( Like the Barracuda / Early Models ? ) Also the Marlin . Well , the list goes on .Thanks for bearing with me and lets see if we can Bust another Auto Myth !
