Can't log in? Try this...
Posted by mrmike on Sunday, December 9, 2018 8:09 PM

This forum has been a ghost town since whatever happened last week took place.  Let's try to get some people back on here!

I found this on the Fine Scale Modeler site.  For those of you who have trouble logging into the forum, try this.

For those who can't log in.  Posted by enash on Thursday, December 06, 2018 8:57 AM

If you are having trouble logging into the forums, try clearing your cache and old cookies. If that does not work then going into 'incognito mode" should do it. This is a temporary work around. Our IT department is working on a permanent fix. - Elizabeth Nash, Digital Editor of FSM

I found that if I go to the forum and then log in, it works fine.

Going incognito works for me. I normally log in directly at the forum and that doesnt work on Firefox or safari but does on chrome.

I would like to extend my Thanks to Elizabeth at FSM for posting the work around. I wonder if she realizes that she actually helped out all of us here at SA as well. It was nice to see good communication skills being employed. Kudos and Thanks to Elizabeth!

Hmm. I never have a problem logging in. I use Chrome almost exclusively, have Adblock, Tampermonkey, and use CCleaner about every 2 weeks to clear my cache, history, cookies, and reset registry problems. Seems to work for me.

Made it back in. The work-around was useless for me. Am I the only one that has no idea what incogneto means on  a computer? Probably. Anyway, the issue seems to be resolved as I logged in this morning without issue.

Finally able to log on, to browse incognito means browse privately. You can choose that when you open your browser.
