Daytona transport questions
Posted by CLASSIC770 on Saturday, November 17, 2018 1:16 PM

Not an issue, as I’m not putting the engine in, but how WOULD one install the engine in the Daytona transporter without some cutting? Pretty sure it’s not meant to sit at an angle. The piece meant to cover the engine well doesn‘t fit either.

Also, is the spoiler on the rear of the cab supposed to sit flush with the cab? Because it don’t. Leaving it off too.

One thing I did do was replace the tailgate mounting pins, using wire recovered from sparklers! Plastic pins break easily, just replace them. I cut the hinges off the canopy, as I will glue it down. I will also Elmer‘s white glue the pivot assembly in position, as it looks fraught with peril to be moving it much.

Opinions re this kit?

Structure is surprisingly sturdy, but more than likely I won’t be making vroom vroom noises with it.

Was a good slump buster. However, did anyone else have disintegrating decals?

If I were to do this kit again, I would truckify it more, ala Sven’s.
