ready to go -----almost
Posted by Roger on Sunday, August 05, 2018 10:15 AM

As I stated in my intro my 1st attempt in about 55 years will be a '59 Vette.  I got Revell's 4325 '58 Corvette Roadster kit since very little modification is needed to make it a '59.

Now I have a problem that I'm sure someone can answer.  While lining up the trees of smalls to paint I discovered that part number 62, right front spindle is missing.Crying

So, I got everything needed to contact customer service and found that that is no longer an option.

Has anyone got a suggestion other than purchasing another complete kit?  I could do that, it would delay the build as I save for it since S.S. is not a favorable income for hobbies.  In the mean time I'm going to ready the hood and trunk lid to be '59s and work around the front suspension.

You may want to post a request in the "Where Can I get" section of this forum.  Someone may have one laying around and would be willing to send it to you.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

Been too long since I started this subject but,,,,, life got in thhe way.

I e-mailed Revell-Germany and received the missing spindle about 2 weeks later.  Outstanding customer service.  Since then I've only gotten very short visits to my bench and with time restrictions imposed on me, have gotten quite a bit done but no pics to prove that.  I tried to attach the starting pics from long ago, but now will wait and try my best at completed pics soon.
