Which Size Tip of Molotow Cocktail Pen ?
Posted by LL23H1R on Sunday, December 24, 2017 8:15 PM

I'm ready to hang-up Bare Metal Foil for good , as my eyesight is aging , and my arthritis is off the hizzie lately .

I'm ready for one of those Molotov Cocktail pens (or whatever they're called) !

What size tip is recommended for , say , windscreen and backlite trim for 1/25 scale ?

Thanks much for your replies !

I brought two 1m.m. tip ones . I had a slight disagreement with it and now look like the cop in Terminator 2 . The " ink " can be pooled in a suitable receptacle and brushed on quite easily ! I use cellulose thinners to clean , there is another thread about the refills for the pens on here somewhere recently.....

I have all three sizes, 1,2 and 4 MM. There is a use for all three. I also have the refill and use an air brush to spray it. I have used the number 2 for the trim around the windows and had good results, but, I think the number 1 will work as well. It does take some getting used to using them though. It's easy to go out of the lines just like using a brush and silver paint in the old days. LOL. Practice, practice and more practice is the way to go in my opinion. Dan

me too, untill it starts to get dry, somewhat. I am masking, also, rather the trusting a steady hand. Not sure how I feel about it yet. I know I hate to foil.
