What I learned from building models...

In the April issue of Scale Auto, in the article "The Art of Drybrushing", Andy kellock made the comment "...but there is much to be learned from the military plastic modelers who build aircraft, tanks, ships and figures." How true! In addition to building model cars, when I was a kid, I built pretty much everything I could get my hands on. When I joined the Army in '78, part of the induction process included taking 5 terminology tests: Army, Navy, Air Force, Communications and English grammar. I maxed the first 4 based on what I had learned building models! I failed the English grammar test, despite 12 years of dedicated teachers trying their best.
