Unique TV/Movie vehicles
Posted by BobbyHill16 on Saturday, February 11, 2017 3:21 PM

I'm looking for ideas for a unique TV or movie vehicle.  Something that does not have an exact kit.  Some ideas to get the ball rolling.

Great suggestions.  I was thinking Transformers but obviously not creativly enough. I love Porkys and Animal House but they aren't exactly my generation Stick out tongue Love the Anglia too.

it may require some custom work, but there are models available for almost all of the original cast...

Howzabout.. the 1970 'Cuda from Dark Shadows?

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

The "Testica" from married with Children?    The Mustang convertible kit its based on is available, you just have to do some fun scrtachbuilding of all that faux leather body covering panels.

I built this '61 Starliner as a loose interpretation of the Starliner at the end of the movie "Hollywood Knights".

Nothing really too far out there, but I was always inspired by it.

I loved that movie Bladerunner. There are so many cars from movies I would like to have. Hopefully we get to see Deckard's car as a WIP here on the forum

Nice model. One of my favorite movies just saw it last weekend(again). Love the 57 Chevy in the movie too. There's a lot of sweet rides in that movie.

My son and I have had this very discussion going for some time now.

We want to make 1/25 replicas of many characters from the Disney Pixar movies "Cars", "Cars 2", and "Cars 3".

Amt 55 Chevy p/u for Tow Mater.

Mobius 53 Hornet for Doc Hudson.

Fujimi for Sally Carrera

Gunze? For Luigi Fiat 500.

Revell for Filmore VW deluxe van.

Amt WW2 Jeep for Sarge.

Monogram nascar 80s Regal for Chick Hicks.

Monogram 70 Superbird for Strip Weathers, The King.

Amt 25 Model T for Lizzie

Revell Mazda Miata for Mia and Tia

We were trying to figure out what to use for Lightning McQueen,  the closest we could use is a 90s C5 Corvette with lots of mods and  putty! But the shape is close.

                      Cars 2

Old Monogram Austin Martin for Finn McMissile

AMT 75 Gremlin X for Grem

AMT 75 Pacer X for Acer

Revell C6 Corvette for Jeff Gorvette

Convert a Revell VW Rabbit into a Yugo to make Victor Hugo

                      Cars 3

Revell-Monogram Nascar Ford Taurus for Cal Weathers

Amt 68 El Camino to make the customer in the bar.

Were still thinking of how to make other characters in the movies,  but these are the obvious ones.

Any other ideas? These movies have lots of possibilities using available kits and creative kitbashing.

Revell makes a model of Lightning McQueen if you want to go that route.

Most of my models are from tv/movie subjects. i'm slowly rebuilding my gallery now on Flickr after photobucket went the paywall route.

The same car appeared in American Grafitti in black, so it's almost a 2-fer.
