I stopped at my LHS today and bought nothing. I guess when one has a certain number of un-built kits, they can often go to a hobby shop and get nothing as whatever is on the hobby shop's shelves, they either have or don't want. It has happened to me several times.

I recently got the new/re-release of the Tamiya VW Karman-Ghia, but yesterday in the post came the two set of resin Fuchs wheels, narrow fronts-wide rears with treaded and slick tyres. These will look good on the Ghia.

All the way from Japan, the roof box,Trek bike and roof rack kit from Fujimi. I bought this after seeing the hellaflush thread in the Tuners section here. I have various cars to fit it to, including Imprezza,Honda Jazz/Fit, Harrier 4X4 or even the re-release of the Tamiya Karmann Ghia, now that would look good!

Got the stuff in the mail to make sure all the "Boydster 1" frame will be 100% correct and all the extra parts. I"m about ready to start mocking up this project and then moving it from 1/24th scale to 1/8th scale.

I was driving long the road back to my house from my Doctor's Office when my wife saw a sign for a yard sale and wanted to stop. While She was looking at stuff, I spoted a large box marked models so I checked it out. There were several built model air planes and tank in it, and a few baddly built model cars, most were damaged, but I could set some kits at the bottom of the box that appeared to be unopened. I asked the Lady running the yard sale what she wanted for  the and She said $5. for the whole box so I bought it hopping to find something usefull.

In the box I found:

1 Monogram 48 Ford Woody still sealed in the original plastic

1 Monogram Green Hornet flat box kit still in the plastic

2 Orange Krat flat box kits one opened but not built,e other one still in the plastic

1 AMT 29 Forf Roadster missing the instructions, but all of the parts are there

4 Assorted model tank kits all of them 1/48 scale

Six built model tanks JUNK

Two model cars built JUNK

four 1/72 scale german fighters JUNK

What do you Guys think of my Yard Sale Find?

I also have the Tamiya '66 Karmann Ghia. Love that kit. My recent ebay scores are  the Revell California Bug w/instructions and "light gluing" and the vw street machine factory sealed, both for $24.00 + $7 shipping. Got these last week and waiting on the '60s bug. It was a partial kit, some things glued on it, but with shipping it was $13.29.

I probably won't get around to building all the kits I have, but I got an unbuilt Revell Datsun 240Z at a church sale for $1.
