$100 worth of stuff from The Modelhaus.

A 60-64 Ford NASCAR chassis to be used under a '61 Galaxie. I thought this would be the easiest way to get away from the molded-in single exhaust system on the kit chassis. I can scratch build a dual system for it.

Some '70 442 parts for a restoration and conversion (with Keith Marks decals) to a W-30.

Some '68 Coronet parts for another restoration

'69 Chevelle rear bumper and taillamps

Dodge pickup taillamps and bezels for yet another restoration

Some wheel backs

Chevy pickup mirrors

70 Grand Prix taillamps to replace the missing ones in an unbuilt kit I bought nearly 30 years ago.

Mopar dog-dish hubcaps that may wind up on the '68 Coronet

AWESOME STUFF ALL!

Don and Carol, will you adopt me???

That kit builds up real nice and here is a photo of the one I had done.

I am building this kit to replicate my wifes uncles car. He has a 69 1:1 version and I offered to build a 1:24 scale version and he jumped on the offer. Now all I need to do is get a boatload of reference pics from his car and figure out the differences between the 68 and the 69 then build the thing. Yours looks real nice tho. I love the decal assortment I got with this kit and extra parts..........yea buddy.

AMT did a '69 Firebird that was issued in '93, '97, and '03 and they don't look too expensive. Seems like the big difference between the '68 & '69 are the front fenders and the headlights and grille. The hood and the rest of the body looks pretty much the same to me and I didn't check any interior pictures. Good luck with your project!

I have been seeing here and there on the forum about Michael's closing out some of their flocking. (Michael's is a craft store chain for those of you who don't know). I found some in their clearance section where the stamping stuff was. The flocking was labeled with the brand name Stampendous Fuzzy Fun Flock. It is packaged in a pack of 5 individual tubes of each color, 2" long with various color combinations.

One pack had 1 tube each of black/blue/purple/white/brown, another had 1 tube each of red/green/yellow/blue/orange, another had 1 tube each red/light green/lavender/light blue/peach, another had 1 tube each of a pastel mix of turquoise/orange/lime green/light purple/ don't remember what the last color was.

The were marked originally $8.99 on clearance for $3.99, but when I went to the register the price was reduced down to $1.49 a pack (so of course I had to go back and get some more!). So basically for less than $15.00, I got 45 tubes of flocking.

This is probably a life time supply for me!!! Not a bad score if I do say so myself. Cool

I too just picked up the Henry J Gasser and some paint lol.  Going Candy Green with this one.  Also just in comp resins 60s Gasser style wheels, why the kit has Centerline wheels is beyond me.  I'm 27 BTW.  Funny I even know about these awesome dragsters.  I like the vintage stuff. Any ways back on track.  Also purchased resin hemi injector manifold.  Plan on putting some tall injector hats or whatever they're called on that, and some Slixx vintage drag decals.  Its going to posted as wip on here check it out.  I have been building for only a few years so bare with me.  LOL. Take care.

I think somebody else mentioned it but the flocking at Michaels is on clearance. Got a bunch of different colors for less than ten bucks. Also Ed Roth's Outlaw and the Lil' Gasser show car for fifteen bucks each, and an AMT '66 Nova was thrown in for two bucks because the front tires were missing. All great for parts.

Ok I didn't get it today but I stopped by a yard sale last night after work and picked up a 1:25 Revell F-117A Nighthawk plane. Not a big plane builder but it was only .50 cents so I couldn't  pass it up. Anyone want to trade? lol.

By the way it has never been assembled. Only the plastic wrap has been removed from what I can tell. Don't know much about planes so I couldn't tell if anything else is missing.

I love building models.

You did great hemi hunter. I stopped at my local Wallymart this morning and picked up Johnny Lightning's '51 bullet nose Studebaker Commander which looks like "gasser" material to me . It is in 1/24th scale and time for me to round up parts.

Whoa! I think that there seems to be a misunderstanding as I did NOT buy any plastic model kits at Walmart. I bought a 1/24th scale Johnny Lightning die-cast '51 Stude that I'm going to take apart, strip the paint and add some Monogram parts and make a gasser out of it. And of course new paint & decals, and BMF, and so forth.
