HOORAY! Bagged another long wanted kit! The surfboard, skateboard, the figure and the kool Stingray bike are long wanted extras. Plus the choice of pick up or woody is a big plus on my scoreboard!

Yes it was cheap because it was used. Some parts missing, broken etc.

All I got was-----

  SUNBURN !

Whoda Thunk. Just walking through parking lots. yeah I got Disabled plates. But, My car is going on 5-1/2 years old and ain't got scratch on her. Besides the Doc says I gotta walk more! Naw Actually I got an interesting  piece for me. Revell's old "Long Beach Tug" Neat little kit.In the sale area of Hobby Lobby! Paid all of a Buck Ninety for it. Weren't Missing no parts neither!

Neatest little Tug to come down the Pike, till Walthers H.O.Classic RailRoad Tug came along. Which is waterline, but gorgeous either way you build it! The "Long Beach" is a little long in the tooth, But it stands the test of time.

I can't seem tostart a new post, so I'm gonna see if I can tag onto your appropriate one here.

Over the past month I have managed to get my hands on a 1/12 Italiari Alfa Romeo8C 2300 Monza.  It has about a billion parts, and looks like a fun build if I ever get to it.

I did also manage to get a good buy on a 1/12 diecast Fujimi F40 Blackstar.  The gloss black paint, like so many of the expensive and decent diecast cars from the 1990s and 2000s, was full of flaws and blistering.  So, I had it repainted in a semi-flat black for a very mean stealthy look.  I am hoping it will be pretty outrageopus when I'm done...unless someone with more time buys it from me and does it first.

I did also purchase a few more diecasts that need some minor repairs, which I hope to accomplish in the coming months:  1/12 Danbury 1957 Chevrolet Convertible in torquoise(probably not the correct color name), a Danbury 1/12 1957 Corvette in black (one with no paint flaws...."knock on wood"), and a boatload (not really) of detail parts for 1/12 and 1/18 cars.

I'll just add them to the rest of the WIPS.

I just received this beautiful chopped 32 3w body from Ed Fluck at Drag City Casting. This thing is beyond quality. The chop is perfect, the resin is perfect and service was beyond anything I have encountered! I have it placed on my current build frame to show how it could look. It includes a separate windshield surround to make painting and installing glass easier.

I was happy to have been able to participate in the first ever "Desert Scale Classic" virtual model show this spring.

The guys in Arizona chose to let the show go on virtually rather than cancel or postpone as most other shows have done this year due to COVID-19.

I was very fortunate to have the judges recognize my '68 Olds 442 W-30 for a first place award in the factory stock category, as well as a "Master Award" for best interior.

My '65 Plymouth fury was also awarded 2nd place in the Street Machine category.

I was very humbled and very happy!
