I was at my LHS today and picked up Round 2's AMT Texaco '50 Chevy pickup truck. I was also looking for the '62 Bird and the snap Batmobile but they didn't get them yet.

I went to Micheal's Today and Puchased 4 Black Widow Kits, for $2.49 each off of their Mark Down Rack! I believe this may be the best deal I ever got at any Store!

Received my review sample of the Batmobile snap for an IPMS review today.  The snap is a curbside but has plenty of detail on the chassis for painting. First looks- well done, great packaging, more parts than I thought it would have. Seeing this one I can't wait for the glue version and hopefully the deluxe version with photo-etch...

I got a Revell 68 Dodge Dart GTS kit, 1st kit I've bought in a few years. I still have a few to finish (68 Firebird, GMC 1/2 ton 4x4, 65 Shelby GT 350 R, 78 Mustang II Cobra)...

Definitely going to need some help with styrene but I'll take a look around and if I can't find what I'm looking for I'll ask.

Just picked up a few John Gunnell car guides and catalogs from Amazon. Two of those I paid less than $6.00 total for (slightly older books, still they're great reference guides...), AND I picked up the uber-expensive Standard Catalog American Cars 1946-1975 off eBay for $9.00 including shipping! Amazon wants $160.00 NEW for this book, $70.00 used!

Still would like to see a model kit of the '97-'01 Jeep Cherokee... SOMEBODY?!?!   ANYBODY?!?!

I Bought two Revell 31 A Model Sedans, for $10.00 each at a Local Thrift Store. The only reason I was in the Store was because my wife wanted to take some old clothes to donate to the store.

I got a Revell VW Beetle, like the Herbie style, for 99 cents at the thrift store.  It was just in a bag - no box - but complete.

I wound up with a Revell Porsche 911 Targa with extra detail parts for $5. At a rummage sale I got a Lindberg Wells Fargo Overland Stage Coach in 1/16th scale for $5 too. Don't know what I'm going to do with that one.

At my LHS yesterday  I picked up the AMT '62 T-Bird, Polar Lights snap Batmobile, Shabo tire transfers, and the new edition of The Directory of Model Car Kits w/price guide. At least I don't dwell on how I'm going to possibly build all the kits that I buy as it just isn't going to happen. It's really tough when a new or re-issued kit on the store shelf says "Buy Me!"

That S & M Pro Stock "Cuda is a great kit and has a lot of great parts in it. "Back in the day" I used to buy those kits just for parts and now I wished that I had a few more.

That's crazy man. I have two of the reissues, paid $8 for one and $2 for the other.

First that kit has not been reissued, you might be thinking of the 72 from AMT. You can get that kit for about 30.00 mint sealed from Fred Sterns when he has them or cheaper.

It's essentially the same kit, but yes you're right it's not exactly the same. Close enough for me.
