1967 Chevrolet Impala 4-door
Posted by MG Brown on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 7:49 PM

Round 2 has announced the 1967 Impala AMT 4-door "coming soon".

Photos of a built up example can be found here:

What we know- Probable to be on dealer's shelves in Late Q1 2020, the interior has a front bench seat.

What we don't know- MSRP, what's in the box, optional versions, possible future municipal versions, what engine it comes with, if it comes with stock wheel package.

My questions are:

Are you glad to see a new 4-door kit?

Do you have plans for it other than the out of the box version? Police, Fire, Taxi, etc?

Outside of the 68 chevelle, we haven't really seen anything "new" for a while.  So I'm ready for it.

Most of my money goes for bow-ties, bikes and babes.  The rest I just waste.

The kit being released is the '67 Impala from the TV series, "Supernatual".  It is an AMT kit.

It would have saved me a ton of work had they released it about 12 years ago...

...but yes. There were a few variants used in the show, and I wouldn't mind getting one or more of the new kits to build into one of those later versions.

No kidding!  I am glad to see this kit, but I have always been suprised that it didn't get made sooner as the show has been on for 15 years.  I am looking forward to getting a few.

I am very much looking forward to this and plan a factory stock version. Most likely it will have the same engine as the 2 door.

We know of your desire for 4-doors, but a 4-door hardtop and sedan are still a niche market.  I wouldn't get my hopes up for more 4-doors.

Face it, the sad reality is, the only reason we're getting this 4 door is it's television pedigree. I doubt it would have been considered otherwise. Were any of these used by police? That may have factored into their thinking as well. Either way it's one more on the list.

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

I'll never understand why people post in threads they have no interest in. Padding a post count I guess.

If you are talking about me, go back and read his post, he asked the question. So kiss my ass. Post like yours is why this forum suffers. Oh my god, give me a higher post count, I just can't stand it....
