Maybe not new, but new to me! My MI roadtrip haul!

There’s not much more fun than a road trip, unless it’s a road trip that also includes going to Hobby Shops along the way! A couple of weeks ago, my brother and I ended up doing some “hobby shopping” in Michigan, and it was not without considerable success!

We managed to find all kinds of old, interesting and (of course!) sad car kits that begged to become part of the stash. Being kind-hearted, we of course took them in! Check out this weird mix of everything from MPC Annuals to JoHan promo-kits at the link below!

Don’t forget to vote for your favourite, either!

Cool haul! Of that lot, I’ve only built the Mustang (had a couple of ‘em) and yhe Camaro. Actually, I pulled the Camaro out of the stash for my girlfriend to build on the late 80s. When she left it stayed behind, and now patiently waits in my project box to someday be turned onto a mid 70s late model short tracker.

Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Whoa! You have the AHC Camaoro? That's awesome!

If it's opened, could I bug you to send me a scan of the decal sheet? I'll PM you.

It was built in the late 80s, so hard to say if the decals are still around. I know she didn't use them when she built the kit. If I can find them, you can have them.

Oh, that was a while ago!

If you should ever run across them, I'd love them!

Thanks!

I had a good look through my stash of old decals last night, but could not find them. I know they were not used on the build, and decals don't get thrown away so they may possibly turn up. Don't hold your breath, but if they do, they're yours.

Sure thing, thanks, man!

No rush; I doubt I'll need them for a bit! :)

I built all those as a kid, and would love to see them reissued just like they were then.

One thing: I think you'd rather have them reissued a little better than they were - avoiding MPC Tire-on-Window melt would be nice! :)
