Latest releases

I have seen the possible releases of the Baja Bandido, MPC Schwinn bicycle  and a Vespa scooter that maybe released soon. Man, I hope so. I like odd ball stuff like that. I plan on buying  at least 6 of each. I also like the turbo prop engine. Of course,  they teased us with the Elegant Farmer and then didnt come through with it. That kit is scarce and way expensive.  I dont know why Revell doesnt fix the tool for the Sand Crab and reissue it.  The Lil Van was a letdown.  It wasnt popular at all. But the Sand Crab was popular.  Please back engineer it Revell. Please.

I guess they have decided to drop the Bandito release.  What a shame . Hey, at least Atlantis is going to release the King Chopper.  Yay! I cant wait. I think it is just too cool. It maybe kinda toyish...but I dont care. I had one when I was a kid  the first time (Lol) back around  69 or 70.

Hi Agin.

I hope you are aware REVELL no longer exists. Maybe ATLANTIS will grace us with this kit. I liked it too!

Um wrong. Revell is alive and well. Just all under the roof of Revell of Germany now.

You're correct about  Revell of USA. They were acquired by Revell of Germany.  Before everything changed, Atlantis was able to buy some of the tooling from Revell. One of the tools was the King Chopper ( I guess in its modified version). Its supposed to be released sometime in mid April.  As far as what happens now that Revell of Germany owns all the other tooling,  I dont know. Im concerned that since Revell of Germany has limited knowledge of the history of scale modeling in  America,  they might not release  some of the beloved kits of the past. That coupled with the diminishing legend of modelers from the golden era of modeling , I just afraid our options  will also diminish.  Sure, there's 3D printing and everything,  but that may head us in a totally different direction.  Im not saying that's neccesarily bad, just different.

I think they're more aware than one thinks. Plus a office is still open here and I believe Ed Sexton I think his name is runs that. I could be wrong on the name but not on there being a office here.

Hi There.

The name you mentioned to the group here is familiar to me. I believe that he ( and I could be wrong) was V.P. of customer Service

While I don't know his present title, Ed Sexton is on his third (I think) stint with Revell. He has previously been involved with product development and marketing.

I hope they are. I sure am looking forward to the new releases.  I wish them the best. I encourage everyone to email them, call them or whatever  and let them know we are behind them in their new acquisitions.
