The model kit industry definitely seems to be shrinking. I'm not sure what can be done, but I'm buying all the kits I can now and storing them just in case. Maybe we need to start a Discovery Channel show about it. Model Kit Preppers, where they explore the lairs of guys who buy lots of model kits and put them on shelves to prepare for the Model-ocalypse.

Model hoarders? Modelocalypse? Ain't nobody gettin a view at my bunker! I have exacto knife traps lining my perimeter and a "Home Alone" style spray paint setup at the doors. I've only sprayed myself twice! Wink

I think it's just the typical ebb and flow of the industry. Some years we get a bumper crop (pun intended) and on the odd year, they're working on tooling and we get a couple reissues. I think we'll see more next year, just don't expect them to keep going to the expense of doing shows. I may be wrong, but I'm hopeful it's just a lull year with Revell restructuring and the new kids (Salvinos JR) still trying to find their footing.

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

GOING TO A MODEL SHOW WILL SHOW YOU HOW BIG THIS STILL IS ,NNL IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE.AS FOR 3D PRINTING KITS I JUST DID A 72 4 DOOR FURY POLICE NO DONOR KIT RIGHT NOW BUT I AM WORKING ON IT.IT WAS A BIG HASSLE PROBABLY BECAUSE I WENT WITH THE FIRST COMPANY THAT IS NEAR HOME.EMPIRE GROUP AT THE TOY FAIR IS A 3D PRINTING COMPANY THAT GAVE ME A BETTER QUOTE THAN THE CRAPPY ONE I HAD MADE ,I ALWAYS WANTED A 4 DOOR 72 FURY ,BUT NOT AT WHAT IT FINNALLY COST.NEXT TIME I WILL CUT OUT A PICTURE AND PUT IT IN MY DISPLAY CASE.
