Just ordered this from a foreign land...

What ... ??? Having trouble guarding your stash ? LOL

Picked these up at hobby lobby.

The scenic stuff was so cheap, I bought "multiple's " of everything pictured.

( I told my wife I spent $1.49 ...... how do I hide Debt card info on the banking website ??? .... The website she check's every day .... to see what has been spent.... and where ... )

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Soon to be on the bench...

Got my order from Mike's!

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

Recently did a bunch of trading & did pretty well for myself.

I traded off a bunch of old annual bodies & parts for a couple of newer kits & a few nice old  complete annual builders.

I picked up a Moebius '65 Comet & a Revell '68 Firebird 400, but the real prizes are a Hubley 1960 Ford station wagon, an AMT 1961 Mercury Comet, and best of all, a complete, extremely rare Johan 1968 Oldsmobile 442!

The 442 is in great shape & nearly impossible to find in this condition in kit form!

A little something that helps to get one project going a step further. Engine from that '48 with its speed parts, and atleast the qc rear from '25 is what i needed.

Gluecipher, That "Fruit T" Has a few part's that just aint right. Dont get me wrong, I love that kit ( I have three in the stash and one sorta on the bench ).

I havent been keeping up with this thread, so here's what I purchased this last 30 day's. I bought the same item's on different "shopping spree's" so there will appear to be duplicate picture's.... but their not.

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

What parts do you refer to ?

I searched and then waited for my kit for over 5 months, and everything i want from it is just the way i need it to be, and i cant afford to be picky. The quick change rear, nice blue stripe slicks, latham blower, cabin, frame....more parts that o like than parts i dont. Front axle however is not that nice but as these are old molds and some kids used the cars to play with ,i guess the axle is as it is, kinda rugged, clumsy and with visible steel pin. Last time i owned and built this kit,or close to it was at '87-88, the box had a pickup roadster with flames in.

The first part's you will notice are the stock spoke wheel's . In my kit they were molded slightly off center, so the spoke's look "Blurred" Took a lot of carving and sanding to fix them.

If you use the "Lathem" blower on the Lincoln engine, The blower front drive will NOT reach the belt. I had to scratchbuild a longer housing on it.

In my kit, the body was a scale foot thick on the driver's side. Also only had door hinge's on the passenger side.

The "ragtop roof " is too short, it wont reach the windshield. ( there's about a scale foot gap between the two.

There are a few more "little thing's" but I wont go on and on about it. Everything but the roof issue can be fixed pretty easy.

It may just be this paticular kit I got ( I havent opend the other's ) but it sure look's like my kit was made by somebody with a "Hangover" !

Oh well, to me this Fruitwagon is more like parts box, and i doubt i will ever built any versions in the box. Its ok to retrofit the latham, and as for the stock wheels, i think they wont ever be used in any way.  I just like the enormous amount of bits the kit has and that i can fit em in other projects. Latham in example will be put on top of flathead so it needs some work anyways.

Gonna have to check in on those Hiroboy items. Those are looking snazzy!

A good friend at another forum sent me this kit after I made a comment about it in a build thread.......for free. I've been wanting one of these for a while now since I worked on them when they were new at a Pontiac Dealership in Carrolton, Tx.

My birthday was this last Monday so I picked one of these that I've been wanting to build for the last 6 months.
