Tamiya kits

Bought four of them, working on the Honda NSX.  Love them. Almost all of the pieces fit together perfectly.   Best paint job ever with a rattle can of their paint and clear coat.  I'm sold.

I bought their '66 Beetle and fell in love. The engineering is astounding!

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

Mine was a BMW 635CSi street version . I was gobsmacked when I noticed it had 5 studs to hold on the wheels ala 1:1 , not just a " stick out bit of plastic " The detailing was perfect with no mold lines . My ex stamped on it . Ugly fat cow . LOL ...sorry , knee jerk reaction every time ......

Yes, and I have one, but we're talking Tamiya.

Almost spit my drink out on that "ugly fat cow" reply.  LOL

The last Tamiya kit I purchased was the Mercedes 300SL gullwing coupe. This kit is absolutely sublime, perhaps the nicest mass-market kit I've seen. I can't wait to clear away some current projects to get started on this one. The intricate tube chassis is fully and faithfully replicated and is worthy of being a model in itself. So much so that I will be buying a second kit just to build the chassis/engine/drive train to display next to the completed model.

Lucky you, Spencer MoPar Fan, to be in the UK. This Yank was in Sussex for all 3 days of the GoodWood Revival in 2002 and saw so many incredible cars that Tamiya could offer to us modelers. Tamiya, please attend this yearly event!
