fotki help
Posted by htown2 on Friday, July 28, 2017 5:50 PM

Several on here have mentioned using Fotki as a replacement for Photobucket to add images to threads.  I have set up a Fotki account and downloaded images it to it.  When I click on the share feature for an image and then the "URL for use on other sites" option, it copies the link.  When I paste the link the link is there but not the image.  Similar steps in photobuck would have the image show.  What am I doing wrong?

when you hit the "share" button, click on "more sharing options" at the bottom. When the next page loads, click on the "direct link to image"... that's the one that I've had to use, to post.

Someone else may have a better grip on it, but that's what I've found to work.

Thanks, I found you need to use the "code for forums" option on the second page.  Copy and paste.

Well cool... when I tried that one, it didn't work for me. Maybe I clicked on the wrong one to begin with.

Save yourself some effort & just "copy & paste" the image directly.

Pick the photo you want to insert in your post, right click on it & then click on "copy image".

Go to the forum that you want to paste it into, right click on the text box where you want to insert the photo & then click on "paste".

Your photo will appear.

Easy as pie.
