The absolute best place to buy model kits....
Posted by Daddio on Friday, March 31, 2017 12:23 AM

If you can get to a local model contest or show you will find some unbelevable bargains . Last week I went to a show in Chiccopee Mass and picked up some great deals .An Accurate Miniatures Corvette Grand Sport for twenty bucks , A Gunze Sangyo Ferarri 250 GTO sealed no less for twenty five , Kenny Roberts riding a Yamaha YZ 500 two stroke for ten bucks and last but certainly not least , a Hudson Bonneville streamliner resin body for twenty bucks. My mind has been going crazy thinking about the possibilities of that one .

I've noticed that a lot of senior modelers have been using these shows to sell off part of thier collections . (and yes I'm a senior modeller , but I'm still buying) To all you guys who love to get there moneys worth this is your chance to cash in . Heading down east to a show this sunday , think I'll take a little cash along , you know just in case.......

Take care and see you around the clubhouse ,

Yes Steve, I've noticed this. Unfortunately in my far flung corner of the world model contests are few and far between, but there is a small local annual hobby show with a peer judged model contest, and vendors too. Anywhere where vendors are selling kits I find not only good prices, but  unexpected kits. You never know what will show up.

I have a stash of about 600 kits, but I want to downsize to under 400. I think I'm going to rent a table at next year's show to try selling a few off. I also bought a few lots of built ups from kijiji over the last couple of years, but only want a few from each lot. Think I'll sell rest at the show to cover my costs. Could be fun.
