Posted by JEePgUy on Saturday, February 04, 2017 2:52 PM
So I've read on other sites that Revell is either planning,or already has, issued the Blues mobile Dodge Monaco.Does anyone have any info about this?
Thanks

There was a diecast version recently released. I don't know the maker though. I haven't heard anything about Revell planning a Monaco. But, that means nothing.

I kind of doubt Revell will release one now that Greenlight have just released a diecast version (not to mention licensing exclusivity is probably a thing). i guess this is what you heard of. pick one up, they are a nice diecast.

Really? What about all the Diecast Mustangs and Vettes, and Starsky and hutch torino that are also available in plastic form? And the fact there is also a diecast 1:18 Bluesmobile.
If there is a plastic version coming out I'm buying it.Turn it into another cop car, or factory stock.

Because unlike some Robin hoods,I can speak with an english accent...

I was present at the ny toy fair this week the revell booth had nothing like that it did have the 66 suburban on display,i had to get my drool plate. If you like building emergency vechiles ,then this kit will be a classic.Green light has the monaco out and if you are good at masking or taking apart diecast ,then this is a good buy. Also at greenlight in diecast 60s chevy 4 door.Good luck

If I can get on my Photobucket, I'll post pics of my Greenlight BLUMO. Was impressed by the interior, very detailed save for the seats and a clumsy steering wheel, easily fixed.

Actually finger painted, yes, with my fingers, to improve some of the police markings, and the extra weathering required. Use cheap apple barrel craft store acrylics, as you can literally wipe off any paint you dont like when dry.

The wheels are bad! Waiting to acquire suitable replacements, and you must add the broken glass from the rear window, and the hole for where the drivers side, rear panel antenna was.

If Revell did a Monaco, it would be National News. Waiting for some clown to make a box and leak it, like the enfamous "Used Car" kit :)

WHY nobody has come out with a aftermarket Monaco 4dr body is beyond me!

The Russians used to come out with awesome injection molded turrets and such for 1/35 armor (stuff you couldnt get from the majors, like the Type A T-34 turrets and stuff).   Russia must intervene!  :)

Hey bart,I realize it's been a few weeks since you posted your answer to my question. And I just wanted to say the samething. You are right..It is beyond me why we no one builds a four door Mid 70s Dodge Monaco.Or even better, how about an early to mid 70s Plymouth Fury four Door. Both in 1/24th scale,,and both plastic. No Diecast.I know all about the red tape and the licensing BullSh#% of replicating certain cars from movies.I have a few diecast Blues mobiles...So in that case, they can have two versions of each car.The first,a factory stock look,a civilian car.And the scone version can be built as a police car.The kits can include a set of generic PO decals. It would be great if someone would release, resin,or plastic,a 71,and 72,four door gran Fury.I love those cars, especially with the full police package. My neighbor owned a restored, pristine 72Fury,NYC PO car.It was he fathers old NYPD Highway un marked car.His dad passed away,so the car sat for outside, for around 12 years in his back yard in Brooklyn,.Till one he decided to have it restored in honor of his dad.Now it's a nice fast car,and to this day, scares the Sh#% out of people driving near it.Its great.Se have so much fun just cruising sround NYC...People had no idea what they were seeing...But seriously,Come on someone out there read this. This is what I want.As well as a lot more guys, especially those guys that were on the job.Ok Revell, now,WAKE UP!!!!,and listen to the masses.Everyone go open your windows and shout out,,I'M MAD AS HELL,AND IM NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE .Ha,,,,Man as u can see by the extraordinary late time,I'm posting this. One is because I work at night, and also because I'am bored....Oh yea,and P.S.,how's about a Jeep Cherokee XJ sport 4x4.release.That would be pretty cool.I would definitely buy a whole bunch of those.
