hi everyone  

just picked up at hobby lobby revell 57 ford wagon gasser kit. looks pretty nice . 29.99 but wifes 40%  coupon off her phone makes it not to bad of a deal.  i think i will build it stock.   loved the 57 fords , my dad  had bougt one new in 57  always his cars were black with red interior

very nice work ,, like the color. i think it looks great stock. airbrush or spraybomb? my kit doesnt have much flash and like how the parts trees are individualy wrapped

what is the color of the engine? the instructions say d for black e for red  .   youre engine looks great red. was it some of the engines were black - some red?

okay looks like block is black   manifold red   valve covers black

The engine block should be red. The valve covers, black.

Plow boy is right. I paint mine at work with polyurethane and professional spray equipment.

Great work!  Love the unique paint job color!  very neat.  "Slick" is how blues guitarists would call your work.

 

My Dad had that '57 Ford wagon, and before that, a '57 500 at the U of Miami, I was looking at his old pics today.  He said it sucked, something about a bad carb.  (but he's a GM fan, hates Fords)

 

My Mom had a '59 Impala, then a pink '59 Caddy convertible! (She always had awesome cars, growing up in Mexico she had a '57 Chevy and before that, one of those 1940 Mercury Batmobile things).   Saw a pic of her and George Mira and "Murph the Surf" (some jewel burgler and murderer they made a movie about) cruising in her caddy in Miami in '62.
