A Revell 1970 Dodge Charger coming?
Posted by Crezazel on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 7:24 PM

Anyone know if Revell might be releasing a 1970 Dodge Charger kit in the near future? Their recent release of the Fast & Furious 1970 Charger is only missing a few parts/details that would allow you to build a stock 70 Charger or even R/T. Just need a hood, the louvers on the doors, a back seat and a correct tail panel/lights. I think it could be a profitable kit for Revell.

If you would think that it would be a profitable kit for Revell, perhaps you should write to them and tell them.

I emailed Revell with the tail panel issue and Ed Sexton replyed that the F&F Charger was based on the movie car and that a stock 70 Charger would be issued some time next year. So hopefully they upgrade the tail light panel in that version.

Yup, the F&F car was evidently a non-R/T, so it has the split taillights.  The parts grouping in the F&F model puts most of the F&F parts (including the taillight panel) on dedicated trees, giving a strong impression that street-stock R/T parts will come on their own trees with a full-width taillight.

And if the base F&F kit is any indication, the upcoming street R/T looks very promising.
