Revell of Germany Land Rover Series III, and tomorrow?

While I'm not crazy about the subject matter, I bought this kit at my LHS last week after looking at the box-side photos and parts count.  The photos really look like a miniature, and the parts count (with few options so most are used) is 182!!!  Despite the parts count it's not overly complex and looks like it should go together well.  But the detail is terrific and the quality of the castings is top notch; quite Tamiya-esque.  I know most of the people on this form couldn't care less about this kit, but....since Revell Germany is in charge here, and you have to assume they'll tackle domestic subjects again down the road, can you imagine a new kit of YOUR favorite muscle car, with great tooling, and 180 parts?  Stay positive, SAE, and you may find the kit of your dreams in the near future.  I'm thinking I'm gonna build this puppy with redneck camoflage and a rifle rack!

I build cars, airplanes and military vehicles, generally all at the same time.  I'm always looking to try new kits, paints, tools and finishing supplies to improve my results and keep the hobby fresh.

Saw the prototypes made up at Telford by Jim Whalen. I think he is doing a build article for Airfix Modelworld magazine. Quality looks great and about half the price of a Tamiya kit here in the UK.

Very good to see British cars on here, the Land Rover is a legend!
