Chrome Plating by Little Model Car Company
Posted by Camarocook on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 9:39 AM

Attention Modelers.  I recently had some model parts chrome plated by the Little Model Car Company and I'm very disappointed. After complaining about the poor results the reply I received was, "We are not in the habit of redoing parts that were part of a customer mounted rack. There are too many variables to be considered that cases less that a satisfactory outcome." From what I understand about plastic plating a coating must first be applied to the plastic. That coating they applied made some of the chrome look distorted, wavy and blotched.  I followed their instructions to the letter concerning mounting the parts. Some of the parts I submitted were not mounted and the plating was still bad. It's a lame excuse for poor quality. After paying nearly $60 I'm far from being satisfied. Don't waste your money with Little Model Car Company. Pass them by.
