Can't log into forum
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 6:04 AM
O.K. so I admit I haven't been hanging around on the forum so much lately but I have actually been trying to build some models, now when I do come back to have a look You won't let me in !!!???

What actually happens when I try to log in is system tells me user ID or password is incorrect, have re-set password a couple of times without change, here comes the strange bit So long as I enter user name and password at start of page I can post a new topic or reply to and existing topic.....
Am I missing something ??

Many of us have had this problem and we think it's because of a corrupt cookie. If you delete the cookies it may solve your trouble. I toss my cookies every day.

You're welcome!

It is with great humbleness that I admit I too had trouble for two days with this same trouble. I changed the password many time, e-mailed members on another web site asking for their assistance, e-mailing Andy for help, and finally calling Kalmbach Technical Assistance. A veryhelpful young woman changed my password several times, checked everything she could think of, then finally suggested deleting the internet cookies. Hazaaah!

I now know to start with the simple things first, then progress to pulling hair later. Thumbs Down

This is just like when you loose a light on your car. You start at the fuse box, check the switch, relay, wiring, only to find that the light bulb needs replacing. At least it's happened to me at least once....

(Come on you guys, you know you've been there too.......)
