You will need a photo hosting site like Photobucket which is free.  You upload your photos from your computer to Photobucket, place your cursor on the picture and several lines of code appear underneath, click on the one marked IMG Code and the word "copied" will briefly appear.  Go to your posting on the forum, right click and select paste from the menu and the code will appear on your posting.  Click post and your picture will appear.  It may sound like a lot, but when you done it a few times, it wil become second nature to you.  Good luck!

This doesn't work with Fotki.  Any suggestions?  Every time I place the cursor over the image, all I get is my image name.jpg.  I've tried copying that and pasting, but it doesn't work.  I usually use Firefox, but I even tried on Internet Explorer, and THAT didn't work either.

The IMG code also does not work to post a gallery photo.  I can post pics with the above method but how do you post a gallery pic?  I don't want to have to start a new thread everytime I want to show off one of my cars.

The Gallery has a different process for uploading photos.  The photo must come from your computer when you want to post to the Gallery.

Well, the FAQ makes no mention of the difference, or how to upload a gallery pic from your computer. I give up. (unless somebody has any useful info for a change)

Johnman,

Go to the gallery page, click on the upload button, and choose the gallery you want to upload to. It will take you to another page where you can upload the image and provide a description. All you need to do is click on browse and find the image on your computer. Be sure to give us some details in the description box about how you built the model. Hit the upload post button and you're good to go. The image won't appear right away as we need to approve it first. Hope this helps.

I've uploaded photos to Photo Bucket just fine. I even added the IMG code to each photo. I've tried to add to a post but can't do it. When I click the icon in the text editor what do I type for the URL ?

write whatever you want in your post, tab down one space and then go to Photobucket and copyand paste the IMG code right into the text portion of your post...tab down another space and add anothe IMG code. Try it in the TEST forum and see how it works. Pretty easy.
