I actually sent you 2 messages. I don't think it's a problem with your settings. When I sent each of those PMs they didn't show up in my list of messages. I first thought maybe they weren't supposed to show up until I received a reply. Later when I thought about it I was sure the first message I sent out before always showed up. I think there is something wrong with messaging. Maybe somebody could look into this?

Hopefully a mod will notice this and look into it.

I thought I'd bump this thread back up. PM is still not working. Any chance somebody in a postion of authority can look into this? I'd like to communicate with another forum member and REALLY don't want to post my email address in an open thread. Actually, I won't do that, but right now I have no way of contacting anybody.

I just got a PM from one forum member and it appeared that I was able to reply. Then I attempted to send a message to a different member and nothing happened. So maybe it's only kinda broke.

UPDATE:

I just received a message from a forum member. He sent me an email to notify me and I did indeed have a message from him. I was able to reply to him and I also made sure to try sending a new message to him. Everything seems to be working just fine.

To that individual responsible for resolving the issue, great job! Thanks! Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Outstanding! Thanks Robby. I see you've made several posts today. I think I can speak for most, if not all, of the forum members when I say we're extremely happy to see your activity. Happy to read that IT is going to look into this PM glitch. Tell IT they can contact me directly if they'd like to. I'll be happy to share any info I can with them. Anything to improve our forum.

I waited to report until it happened more than once but, it would seem notices and messaging are back up and running.

Is the "Messages" still working?  I have offered a couple of parts or kits to different members and asked them to pm me, yet I have not received any messages.  Am I to presume they are trying to pm me and it is not coming through, or that they are uninterested and do not wish to tell me so?

It's possible there are still some glitches. I've sent some P.M.s myself that have gone unanswered. You could try mentioning to them directly in a thread of theirs, to message you about the part/kit. MOST folks will answer either way in the thread and say "Thank you for offering, but no." Or "I'll drop you a message." If they still do not respond, they likely aren't interested, but don't let that bother you. A lot of times threads can get lost in the shuffle and your message might not be seen for some time. 

Another suggestion, would be to send your offer in a "freind request" message. It would seem that the messaging works best when the person is on your freinds list. Try contacting a mod, or making a fresh thread directed at the moderators. I know Robby Degraff (see above) has worked on this issue before.
