Article Index

Is there an online article index anywhere?  I wandered all over the web site and forums and didn't find anything.  I have every magazine since the September, 1981 issue, and a few older ones, and it would be nice to be able to quickly find an article, without having to wade through every issue to find something I can vaguely remember reading.

Robo, I found an index of the issues from 1979 through 2000 on eBay.  It's called "Bolinger's index and cross reference Guide, Scale Auto Enthusiast, Volume 1, Issues 1-126.  It's really well done with many different ways to cross reference topics (such as a listing by authors).  According to the book you can reach Tim at TimBollingerSr@aol.com.

Best regards....TIM BOYD .

Kind of an old post, but I'd be interested in seeing that list too - be interesting to see how many articles Tim's actually written for SA over the  years.

Do you keep an archive of all your old work Tim?  Now THERE'S a library I'd pay through the nose for...

Flame....I keep copies of all the magazine articles I've done over the years....and in the Gary Schmidt era he'd always return my proof sheets (usually messed up pretty good but returned nontheless).  Starting in the 1990's when SA moved mostly to color, I would always shoot multiple 35 mm slides of each car or step, so I've got binders full of those.  And a couple of years ago when Jim gently (sort of!) pushed me into the digital era, I now keep digital files of all the articles.  So yes, I have quite an archive of old stuff.

As for how many articles I've written, yes I did look in the guide referenced above.  I don't remember the number of articles offhand, but it was alot!  IIRC, my first one was in the November/December 1979 issue of Scale Auto. so in just a few months it will have been 30 years since my first contribution to SA.  How time flies!

Best regards....TIM

All those articles would make a heck of a book Tim!  I'd probably buy a dozen copies or so!
