August issue The ask scale auto column

In the august issue Todd Yashinski ask about the Merkur XR4Ti.
Andy Lilienthal answers that Tamiya made a couple of models similar to the XR4Ti, the Sierra Cosworths- the XR4Ti`s European cousin.
This is not correct. The Merkur XR4Ti is actually an american version of the pre-sierra cosworth, Ford Sierra XR4i as it was called in Europe. There was also a XR4Ti and a XR4x4 available with the same body, witch differs from the Cosworth with another grille, rear wing and 3 sidewindows instead of 2.
Tamiya made a kit of this too, kit no.24052, this is now out of production and rather hard to find. I have seen a few on E-bay from time to time, but they are quite expensive.
