Tim Boyd's Mainstreamer article in the June issue was a great read and a great inspiration. Seeing just some of the possibilities illustrated in the article, along with the kits needed to achieve the desired results got the motivational juices flowing for me. I'd really enjoy seeing a follow-up article (or more) by Mr. Boyd showing any number of these ideas being built. Great job Tim!

I agree with you Jaabat, I liked this article a lot. I am building a collection of mustangs from the muscle cars era, and I like to build models that are a little different than the highly optioned ones represented by the kits.

An article on a conversion to a mainstreamer would be very welcome!

Thanks, Mr Boyd !

It really was a great article. I've always enjoyed building mainstreamers more than the high end cars simply because they are more accessable and more people relate to them. They are the cars we see everyday. Currently I have the Robocop police car and I'm planning to use it to model my own Ford Tarus, right down to my daughert's baby seat in the back!
